Pink Printmaking Lab - Artist as Teacher/Teacher as Artist

Getting ready for the gallery show in early June.  Daniel Pink's "A Whole New Mind" was our theme hence, Pink Printmaking Lab.  Phil demonstrated a transfer process using a stripper.  You can see the stripper on the table in the background.  The stripper moved from table to table, which was good for us, if you know what I mean.  Who wants to reach over to the of table and grab ... it.  A good stripper made a difficult process much easier.  Phil paid for the stripper out of his own pocket (he has deep pockets).  Thanks Phil for the great stripper, it made all the difference!  What an exciting class.  The scent of citrus was in the air and since it was Saturday we could do what we wanted.  We even stayed longer than the mandated four hours!  Some of us walked to the Dogwood Festival at Piedmont Park for some other great ideas.  No citrus stripper there, just a lot of texture pieces and one of my favorites - painting on tar paper!  The artist must have been a roofer, a  roofer turned artist.  Kinda like using a stripper to create art!

In early June you can checkout our work at The Youth Art Connection in Atlanta.  I will cite the site so that you can see the sight.
