Gardner's Five Minds are as follows:

The Disciplined Mind masters major paradigms, philosophies, and content areas such as math and science and is proficient in a profession.

The Synthesizing Mind creates a unified group of knowledge from the various, disciplines, subgroups or areas of knowledge that exist within the world. The Synthesizing Mind is able to communicate this unified paradigm to others.

The Creating Mind can identify and reveal the cutting edge, avant-guard, or iconoclastic. The Creating Mind is able to see new trends and communicate their findings to others.

The Respectful Mind does not discriminate against another group of people or individual. It does not divide along lines of race, gender, or age. Rather, it respects and honors those differences and values their contributions.

The Ethical Mind knows and fulfills his duties and obligations with fidelity and purpose. Not only in the work place is this ethical approach taken, it is an everyday theme that is employed and enjoyed in the family, neighborhood, larger context of citizenship.
